Our commercial helicopter flights are operated under an authorized air carrier (Airport Helikopter AHB (CH.AOC.3002)). These flights are chartered air transport and are subject to the stricter regulations for Commercial Air Transport (CAT), in particular the EASA Part-CAT and Part-ORO regulations. The operator has an officially approved operations and safety management system, including an operations manual, crew training, maintenance, and emergency procedures. For passengers, this means a clearly defined legal framework, enhanced regulatory protection, and standardized safety and quality standards that exceed the minimum legal requirements. Commercial flights are distinct from private cost-sharing flights: While cost-sharing flights do not generate profit and only involve sharing direct flight costs, commercial flights are explicitly for profit and are offered to the public as a professional aviation service.
