About Us
Alpine Flights was formed through a partnership between Silvio Klimmer and a private helicopter owner. Silvio, a native Austrian and passionate professional pilot, operates the owner's helicopter in partnership with the Swiss flight school Glarnair, under the AOC of another Swiss company, Airport Helikopter. The location and partners were deliberately chosen to be in Switzerland – the St. Gallen/Altenrhein area offers the perfect starting point for flights with unique mountain panoramas and spectacular glacier landscapes.
Silvio began his PPL training in the USA in 2023, gained flying experience in Austria, and finally completed his CPL training with Airport Helikopter in Switzerland. In the summer of 2025, Silvio, together with a private investor, put the idea for Alpine Flights into action – a project that had already begun in the initial planning phase over a year earlier.

We are based in Switzerland because it offers unique advantages for helicopter flights compared to Austria, allowing us to offer unforgettable experiences.
In Switzerland, landings are permitted almost everywhere up to an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level, as well as at 40 mountain landing sites.
